CLIMAS and other research programs developed a forecast evaluation tool that allows users to specify the variables, seasons, and forecast lead times of concern to them. The tool empowers users to assess for themselves the utility of an array of climate and water supply forecasts, and also includes a tutorial on how to understand the information provided.

Spotlight
What goes here is a writeup of a person's recent accomplishments or a pertinent announcement or any other item which someone wishes to be in this secondary spotlight area. Gigi is a former CLIMAS graduate student researcher. She worked with Margaret Wilder from 2004 to 2006, investigating environmental and climate variability, climate science availability and usage, and public values toward cultural and natural resources in the Lower Colorado River Delta region in northwestern Mexico, the southwestern U.S., and Cocopah Indian tribal territories.
CLIMAS was established to assess the impacts of climate variability and longer-term climate change on human and natural systems in the Southwest. Our mission is to improve the ability of the region to respond sufficiently and appropriately to climatic events and climate changes.
